Itinerary
Day 01: In Cusco - City Tour
Collection from Cusco airport and transfer to the hotel. Rest to acclimatize to the altitude. After lunch in a restaurant of your choice we will meet for a guided city tour. This tour includes a visit to the Cathedral, which is over 450 years old, and the magnificent ruins of Saqsaywaman, Kenko and Tambomachay and an introductory briefing about the Andes and the Inca culture
At night we will have the opportunity to dinner together in one of Cusco’s finest restaurants. (D)
Day 02: Sacred Valley Tour
Following a delicious breakfast at your hotel you will be met by your guide who will take you on a tour of The Sacred Valley of the Incas. This tour includes the fantastic Inca complex of Pisac a look round the local market a buffet lunch and tour of the village and fortress of Ollantaytambo. Returning to Cusco in the evening. The night is free for you to eat in a restaurant of your choice, although we always have plenty of suggestions for you, should you require them. (B,L)
Day 03: Free Day Cusco
Today you have free day to allow you to meander through the streets and markets of Cusco An excellent opportunity to take some photographs or maybe visit some of the other museums that are in Cusco. Or if you feel adventurous you can take a trip to Tipon ruins or to the experimental terraces of Moray. Please check out our add-ons for the schedule and price.(B)
Day 04: Inti Raymi
Leaving our hotel in mid-morning we take our ringside seats for the spectacular that is Inti Raymi. We will be able to see the costumes of the dancers, hear their music and enjoy the magical feeling of being here at such a special time. The event finishes on the early afternoon, and we return to our hotel, dinner on your own.(B,L)
Day 05: Machu Picchu
Having breakfast aboard the Vistadomme train, surveying the Sacred Valley of the Incas we make our way to the Machu Picchu Sanctuary, one of the greatest archaeological wonders on the planet. Here we will have a guided tour explaining some of the background and history behind the citadel. After a long day we will relax in our hotel. (B, L)
Day 06: Machu Picchu - Cusco
For those that want to, after breakfast we have the chance to visit Machu Picchu for a second day. This day is without a guide so that we may enjoy Machu Picchu at our own pace. Maybe you want to visit Huayna Picchu or the Moon Temple, this is your opportunity. In the afternoon we will return to Cusco. At night we will have a farewell dinner with a typical dancing show. Day 07: Transfer Out
Breakfast and transfer to Cusco airport. End of our services.
