Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco -104 Kilometer - Wiñaywayna – Machupicchu
Transfer from Cusco to Poroy train station. Train to km. 104, starting point for our approximately three-hour trek to the well-preserved remains of Wiñay wayna (2900 m.a.s.l.). On the way we will have the opportunity to admire beautiful waterfalls. After a deluxe lunch, we will have the rest of the day to explore the ruins, along with their houses, terraces, towers and local museum, to then head on to the Inti Punku, the Inca Gate of the sun, where we will get our first sight of Machu Picchu. We finally cross the ridge that leads to our destination, and the full grandeur of the greatest archaeological discovery of modern times is reveled. After a guided tour of Machu Picchu you will be brought to the hotel. (Deluxe Lunch and catering during the trek).
Day 2: Machupicchu
We will have a guided tour of the Sanctuary early in the morning in order to enjoy a full day of exploring. In the afternoon the train will go back to Cusco from the Aguas Calientes station, arriving at the Poroy train station. Transfer to your hotel and end our services. (L).
